Women's Studies Blog

Loose Tongues is a feminist blog dedicated to providing Colorado State University students and staff a place for diverse discussion surrounding campus issues, concerns, and experiences about feminisms, race, gender, class, sexuality, disability, religion and all other intersecting axes of difference.

Inspired by Gloria Anzaldua’s “Speaking In Tongues: Letter to 3rd World Women Writers,” which highlights the power gained from and transmitted through the writings of marginalized identities, Loose Tongues seeks to center creative and critical works too often dismissed as artistically and politically unworthy of consideration by mainstream publishing outlets.

Loose Tongues seeks to subvert this dynamic by focusing on the previously overlooked creative and critical works centered around concepts that continue to be left out of the conversations.  It encourages exploration of ideas and feelings about the world around us that are both self-reflexive and radical.

Please the Loose Toungues website for submission guidelines and information.
