Women's Studies Advising
Once a student signs up for the minor, concentration, or graduate certificate they are immediately assigned an advisor. A welcome letter detailing expectations about requirements and advising is also sent.
Meeting with Advisors:
Women's Studies students should meet with advisors at least once a semester to make sure they are making acceptable progress towards completion of all requirements. It is up to the student to make the initial contact with their advisor once they receive their welcome letter.
Preparing for Advising Meetings:
Students should come prepared with the minor, concentration, or certificate checklist and courses they may potentially take to facilitate advising. Also bring any questions or comments about course work or the program in general.
